Mark/Space on Tuesday announced the release of The Missing Sync for iPhone 2.0, a new version of its data synchronisation software for the iPhone and iPod touch. It costs $US40 ($A54); it’s a free upgrade for registered users of the previous version.
The Missing Sync enables iPhone and iPod touch users to synchronise data that the iPhone won’t ordinarily synchronise with the Mac, such as notes, documents, and tasks. It archives text messages on the iPhone to the Mac, archives call history, and features a “Migration Assistant” of its own that lets you transfer contacts and other data from another smartphone to the iPhone.
New to the 2.0 release is “true, two-way syncing of notes, files, documents and tasks” between an iPhone or iPod touch and the Mac, according to the developer.
The software works in conjunction with two free iPhone apps—Fliq Notes 2.0 and Fliq Docs 2.0—which are both available for download from the App Store. Fliq Tasks 2.0 is also coming soon.
