Cruzer Fit USB Flash Drive

Up to $24 (16GB)

It’s hard to believe that it’s possible to carry 8GB of storage in a device that adds just a few millimetres to the end of a USB connector, but that’s what Sandisk has managed with the Cruzer Fit USB Flash Drive.

The drive comes in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB versions. Weighing just a few grams, the Cruzer Fit is small enough to fit easily on a key-ring. In fact, our main concern is that the Cruzer Fit is so small that it can be easily lost.

Performance was reasonable; if you’re looking for fast storage then we’d suggest looking at other options. We found that the Cruzer Fit delivered a mere 36Mbps – faster than USB 1 but well inside the 480Mbps promised by USB 2.

Macworld Australia’s buying advice.

Although the Sandisk Cruzer Fit USB Flash Drive doesn’t deliver fast performance, it is one of the most portable storage devices we’ve ever seen.
