Light; small

Easily lost

Up to $9.95 (4GB)

It’s great to see that USB flash memory sticks are no longer all the same. Verbatim’s Clip-it lives up to its name as it can be slipped over the edge of a sheaf of papers and used a paper-clip.

The Clip-it is very small and light. At just a few grams and only a couple of millimetres thick, one of the challenges is to make sure it’s not lost. However, it can be easily slid over a couple of pages in a notebook.

Once plugged into a USB port the Clip-it was ready to use in an instant. Performance was solid with file transfers to the Clip-it running at 65Mbps – a solid result for a flash memory device.

Macworld Australia’s buying advice.

The Clip-it might not appeal to everyone but it’s a slick device that performs well and passes the ‘just works’ test.

What is the use of this review, as the supplier (Ingramm) does not have them anymore for months now, and is not likely to ever get them again.
