US news publication The Daily believes the app’s development team finished the project last month, and that an Android version is in production with the same November launch date.
“The app is now in the hands of a usability team that appraises software that utilizes the Metro design language for ‘Metro compliance’ and suggests changes as needed,” The Daily’s reporter Matt Hickey wrote. “When approved by the team, the app likely will go to Apple for app store approval, which could take a couple of weeks.”
The Daily’s launch date matches last week’s news from website Boy Genius Report which, through a “reliable source” claimed to have seen an iOS version run first-hand on an iPad.
Microsoft denied the initial rumours of the app in February and is yet to respond to the new report. The Boy Genius Report also confirmed a November release date.
