Apple’s new iPad hits 21 more countries, including South Africa, Thailand, South Korea, India

The new iPad will arrive in 12 more countries this Friday, 20 April – South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela – Apple has announced.
In addition, from Friday, 27 April, it will also be available in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.
Apple has also carefully stated in its press release that the ’4G LTE is supported only on AT&T and Verizon networks in the US and on Bell, Rogers and Telus networks in Canada’ to protect itself from a similar court action as that currently brought against it by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The third-generation iPad has been available for just over a month in Australia and 11 other countries and territories for just over a month, selling 3 million units in its first weekend. It has also been available in 24 other countries since 20 March.
