has released an ad for its new Mintacular chewing gum, parodying Apple in an hilarious new online video that has gone viral.

The ad features gold medal-winning snowboarder Shaun White as ambassador of the “advanced celebrity-endorsed chewing experience”. Mimicking Apple, the  commercial also touts the product as defining the ‘sports gum’ category.

Alongside White, a cast of actors play executive roles at Stride including Bob Sheeth, Co-Senior Vice Executive President of Mint-based Hardware and Scot Samson, Co-Senior Vice Executive President of Sports Gum Ideation & Development

“From the moment you pick it up, you instinctively know how to use it,” Samson says.

“There are no rules at all when it comes to holding it. I don’t need to change who I am to fit the product. It fits me.”

In similar fashion to Apple’s own campaign slogans, like the new iPad’s ‘Resolutionary’ Retina display, Stride brands Mintacular as ‘Intelligicity’.

The ad is creating a huge stir online, with more than 250,000 YouTube views in 10 days since the video was posted.
