Sam Sparro, an Australian-born singer and songwriter, found huge success with the track ‘Black and Gold’ in 2008, topping music charts around the world. Now, this year, Sparro has released his second studio album Return To Paradise – a smooth mix of R&B, pop and just a hint of gospel thrown in for good measure.

We chatted to the singing superstar to find out what his top tech items are.

1 Must-have tech items

Absolutely my iPhone… it’s an extension of my brain and I’m almost helpless without it.

2 Top 5 apps

Spotify, What’s App (for texting my international friends), Instagram,Voxer (my friends send me hilarious radio messages while I’m away) and Loopcam (for making GIFs on the go).

3 All-time favourite invention?

The Phonograph – it changed the way people experience music forever and it’s still used today.

4 Favourite website?

Probably YouTube… there are endless hours of information, entertainment and people making fools of themselves.

5 Top YouTube clip?

At the moment it’s the whole GOT 2 B REAL Diva parody series. Me and my backing singers watch them on the bus and laugh our bums off.
