If you had your hopes on going to Apple’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference in Los Angeles, it looks like you’ll have to wait until 2011. The 2010 event has sold out just eight days after tickets went on sale.

This isn’t entirely unexpected, with the event commonly selling out every year since 2008. However, the previous record (from last year) was a month for all tickets to sell.

Of note, this particular WWDC has shifted focus to the iPhone platform (and with it, the iPad). Either the developer community wasn’t too disappointed about the changed focus, or perhaps iPhone developers are strongly outnumbering their Mac counterparts nowadays.
