Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am is set to launch an iPhone camera accessory, i.am+, that clips to the handset and enhances the phone’s camera by 6 megapixels, alongside an online profile website for users to post their photographs.

The accessory, that boosts the iPhone’s picture quality from 8 megapixels to 14 megapixels, claims to increase the camera’s photographs dramatically, adding increased definition.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, will.i.am said  ”We have our own sensor and a better flash. You dock you phone into our device and it turns you smartphone into a genius-phone. We take over the camera.”

The report claims the musician also plans to launch a website for users create a profile page and post images captured using the iPhone accessory, with the domain: www.i.am.

The raper and entrepreneur made history in August by being the first musician to stream music from Mars and was named ‘Director of Creative Innovation’ at Intel in 2011.

will.i.am is also the founder of the i.am.angel foundation that provides assistance to underprivileged students wishing to attend college.

The i.am+ is tipped to be announced on November 28 in London.
