While it seems the release of iOS 9 has gone smoothly thus far, Apple has had less success with the release of watchOS.

Early this morning, Apple pulled the update to watchOS saying ““We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly.”

According to developers, the updated operating system for Apple Watch is causing a massive drain on the battery with one developer saying the update is “not ready for prime time” and others saying their devices are drained well within a day.

There’s no official word yet on when watchOS 2 will be released other than “shortly”.
