Telstra confirmed today that it will offer iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G  from November 15, eight months after the second-generation model was launched by Apple in Australia.

Telstra will stock the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB  iPad 2 models with Wi-Fi + 3G on a range of two-year plans or pre-paid data plans.

Anthea Roberts, Director, Telstra Mobile Broadband says the pricing options available to its customers offer a comprehensive, affordable range to choose from.

“Our customers will be able to buy iPad 2 on a plan that includes no upfront fee, a generous monthly data allowance and which allows them to pay the device off over 24 months. Customers will also be able to purchase iPad 2 outright and team it with one of our popular iPad Pre-Paid options that allows them to top up data as they need,” Roberts explains.

It’s not clear why Telstra’s decision to offer the iPad 2 came several months following the release of the iPad 2 in Australia. Macworld Australia contacted the telco to discuss the matter, but at the time of going to publication, no comment had been made .

Customers can buy iPad 2 at select Telstra outlets, over the phone (132200), or from Telstra’s online store beginning Tuesday, November 15.
