TBWA\Media Arts Lab, the advertising agency responsible for selling Apple to the world, this week picked up the Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions festival.

The agency earned the top prize, announced on Wednesday 19 June, for its print iPad mini campaign. The campaign, which ran last year, featured on the backs of several high profile US magazines, including Wallpaper*, Time, Wired and The New Yorker and showed the iPad mini at actual size, with a display that showed the actual front cover of the magazine in which the ad was appearing.

To win the Grand Prix, TBWA had to beat a field of 497 short-listed entries. The short-list was judged by a Press Lions panel headed by Jury President Marcello Serpa, partner, CCO, AlmapBBDO. The jury also awarded a total of 24 Gold, 37 Silver and 47 Bronze Lions.
