With under 48 hours to go until Apple’s ‘It’s almost here’ event, where the new iPhone 5 is expected to be launched, it seems the city of San Francisco is ready to party!

Macworld Australia’s good friend Matthew Mikaelian, from IDG Global Solutions, sent us these stunning photos of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where Apple CEO Tim Cook will soon take to the stage for the official announcements.

Thanks Matt!

Is it just me or does the icons on the apple event building look like stretched icons? I can spot quite a few default apps..
