According to BookScan who compiles point of sale data for book sales,  and owned by the Nielsen Company, Steve Jobs Biography has sold 380,000 copies during its first week in the US.

The released biography of Jobs is the only authorized version written by Walter Isaacson, originally to be released on November 21, but was bumped up following the death of Jobs.

According to Nielsen data, The Guardian reported in the UK. 37,000 copies have sold.

The biography is still in top position as the best-selling book on

“The way things are trending, it could very likely be our top-selling book of the year”, said Brittany Turner Amazon’s spokesperson.

The figures don’t include digital sales, though the digital version was released earlier than the book. Considering many readers would want to read the biography on the device he invented, digital sales should either match or likely top the physical copies.
