Sonos listeners can now play music from Spotify to Sonos, making Sonos the only home sound system you can fully control from the Spotify app, including easy access to grouping and ungrouping of rooms.

From within your Spotify app, you can now send whatever you’re playing on Spotify to any Sonos speaker, group all your rooms together, house-party style, transfer a song from your headphones to a Sonos speaker and, share your Sonos system with friends who have the Spotify app and are on your WiFi network;

Sonos’ Spotify Connect will also make celebrating this holiday season a little easier with Playlist Potluck - a partnership with Spotify that encourages people to invite guests to RSVP to their holiday parties with a track suggestion. Sonos’ latest research confirms that music is not only more important to your guests than décor, booze, and homemade food – it even makes the food and drinks taste better (64% of Aussies said so!).

Trueplay tuning is now available for home theatre as well. This lets you use your iPhone or iPad to analyse the room. Trueplay adjusts how each woofer and tweeter produces sound. Which makes everything you watch feel more immersive, more intense, and more real. Trueplay for music launched last November for the Play:1, Play:3, and Play:5.
