Apple has asked a US federal judge to add six Samsung products to an upcoming infringement lawsuit in San Jose between the technology companies, including the Galaxy SIII running Android 4.1 and the Galaxy Note II.

According to AppleInsider, the filing on Friday in California could see Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S III with Android 4.1, Galaxy S III mini, Rugby Pro, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 join the 2014 patent case.

The motion comes in response to Samsung asking to add Apple’s latest iOS devices to its counterclaim last week, including the iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad with Retina display.

The South Korean company has already added Apple’s iPhone 5 smartphone to the list of infringing devices, while the court also allowed Apple to include Android’s mobile operating system Jelly Bean, the Galaxy SIII running older operating systems and the Galaxy Note 10.1.

The case’s fact discovery is scheduled to finish in July 2013, with the trial to begin in March 2014.
