Seagate intros new GoFlex for Mac hard drives

Seagate on Monday introduced its new GoFlex for Mac hard drives. The drives are sold formatted using HFS+, and Seagate also offers a HFS+ driver for Windows for cross-platform compatibility.

The GoFlex for Mac drives use Seagate’s GoFlex connectivity adapters. All of the GoFlex for Mac drives come with FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 adapters and cables. Adapters for USB 3.0 and eSATA as sold separately.

Seagate is offering four different GoFlex models.

  • GoFlex for Mac Ultra-portable Drive: Available in 1TB ($190.35) and 1.5TB ($220.40) capacities.
  • GoFlex Pro for Mac: Available in 500GB ($150.30) and 750GB ($170.30) capacities.
  • GoFlex Desk for Mac: Available in 2TB ($200.35) and 3TB ($260.50) capacities.
  • GoFlex Limited Edition Ultra-portable Drive: Available in 1TB ($200.35) capacity.

All GoFlex drives come with a three-year warranty.
