Samsung has released a new ad targeting Apple fans waiting in line for Apple’s new iPhone 5, set to launch around Australia tomorrow morning at 8am.

The ad compares the features of Samsung’s Galaxy S III to the iPhone 5, claiming Apple fans are clueless to the technological world outside Apple devices.

Watch the ad below.

In another bid to promote it’s Galaxy SIII smartphone, Samsung took to social media, asking on it’s Facebook page “If you could only take one electronic device on a deserted island, what would it be?”.

The page attracted over 40,000 ‘likes’ but also 13,000 comments most of which responding with their desire to take an iPhone with them.

Samsung’s page doesn’t require Facebook users to ‘like’ the page before commenting, which – as word spread – left Samsung with a number of Apple fans getting involved.

As you can see from the screenshot below, courtesy of Cult of Mac, one even asked for an electric boat. Sounds like a decent choice.

Real smart move, targeting people who want that particular phone. I for one will never buy Samsung ever again, i may try android phones as i dont know anything about technology according to them but it will never be Samsung.
