Apple’s first retail store in Queensland will open on the Gold Coast at 9am Saturday, bringing the number of Apple stores in Australia to four, with two in Sydney (city and Chatswood) and one in Melbourne’s Chadstone Shopping Centre. A fifth store, in Melbourne’s Westfield Doncaster Shopping Centre, is also expected to open soon.

The first store opened in Australia was Apple Store Sydney on 18 June, 2008.

Apple Australia’s corporate communications manager, Fiona Martin, said the Apple Store Robina will feature hands-on workshops for personalised instruction on the Mac, iPod and iPhone, as well as Apple Youth Workshops with free hands-on workshops for families.

The Apple Store Robina is located at Unit 4073, Robina Town Centre, Robina Town Centre Drive.
