Reality TV star gives back to children and environment with Apple devices

Reality TV star Michael Ross who appeared in The Real World, one of the longest-running reality TV series on MTV, has started a non-profit organsiation called The Greenest Genius, which fixes up Macs, iPads and iPods and uses them to create education programs all over the world.

The company provides the technology to disadvantaged  children in education programs that have been set up by The Greenest Genius around the world. The initiative  also helps the environment by collecting and properly recycling used electronics.

The devices are either sold or donated to The Greenest Genius, who refurbish the hardware, with a portion donated to the education programs and the rest sold back to help finance the organisation.

Michael Ross, who appeared in The Real World Las Vegas, founded Greenest Genius in 2012.

Ross shared these photos with TMZ, where he recently donated one laptop, an iPad and an iPod at an all-boys orphanage in El Progresso, Honduras.

“By selling or donating your devices you can do your part to helping the environment – and help educate children worldwide” says, Greenest Genius, Founder Michael Ross.
