Oprah Winfrey took to Twitter yesterday to endorse one of what she calls her ‘favourite things’, the Microsoft Surface tablet. The kicker? She made the post from her iPad.

Surface is Microsoft’s answer to the popular Apple family of iPads and the reviews of the device have been mixed so far. But Winfrey seems to like Microsoft’s newest device. In her tweet on Sunday evening, the television personality says she not only loves the new Surface, but that’s she’s bought 12 of them as Christmas gifts.

Later a fan responded to Winfrey asking, “I have an iPad now, have been checking out the Surface… which is better?” Winfrey tweeted back, “keyboard easier for me on Surface #FavoriteThings,” which she also sent using her iPad, according to the Twitter app for iPhone, which displays what type of device a tweet is sent from.

Microsoft has been in the celebrity news recently, both for unsolicited promotions like what Winfrey gave the company, as well as by hiring celebrities such as Gwen Stefani and Jessica Alba to promote the company’s newest Windows 8 Phone.

What makes you think it was her iPad? I think most celebrities have someone else post things for them.
