While the first version of the Office 2016 preview delivered the core set of Office applications, the update adds a couple of new features including Office 365 Video and Office Delve for iOS.
Office 365 Video is an iPhone apps that makes it easy to share videos as well as find videos being shared with in your company and other channels.
Office Delve is an application we find intriguing. After playing with it for a few hours we were able to use Delve to pull together a number of different content types. Delve documents can be created on your Mac or iOS device.
You simply choose the content you want to share – like images, video, text, spreadsheets – and Delve automatically lays it out for you. You simply, share a link to the resultant Delve document and it will automatically render for whatever screen size the reader uses.
Word was also given some significant updates since the initial preview version. Microsoft has delivered scrolling performance improvements, a new Macro recording feature and a new search feature for online document templates.
Excel gets a new Analysis ToolPak and “Solver” feature with all the apps getting a bunch of bug fixes and improved support for VoiceOver across the whole suite.
