Apple is tipped to be opening a new retail store in Melbourne City, with two separate sources telling Australian Macworld the company is planning a new shop in or around Crown Casino.

A reliable anonymous source contacted Australian Macworld claiming the company has a site near the Victorian casino complex, while AMW forum member Ken Gracey recently claimed an acquaintance is decking out the new store.

These reports were corroborated by recent job posting on Apple’s website at the weekend, looking for staff in a store with a ‘3205’ postcode. The postcode corresponds with South Melbourne – Crown Casino’s address.

Talk of a Melbourne city location has percolating for some time, with its location previously rumoured to be planned for the old Myer building.

We’ll post more information as it comes to hand.

2 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Dave says:

Why dont they open a store in ADELAIDE?????

  2. Tim says:

I am lost as why Apple won’t open one in Adelaide. On a recent trip to Queensland I found on in a brand new shopping centre in the middle of no where. The is no logic.
