The Apple Store has been down for some time this afternoon, with most people speculating that it’s because iPhone 4 will be available for pre-order for those in the US, Germany, UK, France, and Japan. And while that’s certainly likely, we’ve heard that there might be a couple of surprises in store.

Our favourite rumour source has revealed that there will be a new Mac mini released tomorrow. What can we expect? Well, here are the full specs:

Mac mini 2.4/2x1G/320/SD/AP/BT – USA MC270LL/A

So that means we can expect a 2.4GHz processor (could it be an i5?), 2GB RAM, and 320GB hard drive. It may not be an earth-shattering upgrade, but it’s always nice to see products getting refreshed.

Also, word is that iPhone 4 pre-orders will be an international affair – and not just limited to the countries getting the first-round release. While that probably doesn’t mean shipping dates will change at all, it will be nice to know pricing for the brand new iPhone.

Oh, and thanks Mr X for the heads-up. Now we just have to wait for the store’s return.
