Mozilla has pulled Firefox Home from the iOS App Store to focus its resources on other areas, according to a company blog post over the weekend.

“We released Firefox Home as an experiment in bringing a part of the Firefox experience to iOS, focusing on Firefox Sync,” Firefox’s blog said.

“This project provided valuable insight and experience with the platform, but we have decided to remove Firefox Home from the Apple App Store and focus our resources on other projects.”

Firefox Home, launched in 2010, worked in conjunction with Firefox Sync to transfer users desktop bookmarks, history and tabs to their iPhone.

For those wishing to continue using or developing with Firefox Home, Mozilla has provided the source code on Github for free use.

“For those interested in continuing to use or improve the iOS Sync client that Firefox Home is built on, we have made the source available on GitHub, free of Mozilla trademarks and ready for independent development,” Firefox said.
