With only just over a week to go until the Make Me Appy competition closes on August 31, organisers Cutting Edge spoke to a few top creatives to get some last-minute ideas and inspiration.

Just some of the interviewees include Jay Gelardi, Digital CD, The Monkeys; Andy Flemming, CD, M&C Saatchi; Nev Fordyce, IXDesign Lead, BMF; and Ralphie Barnett, ECD, Sapient Nitro.

“We’ve been impressed by the significant response so far,” said Nic Harman,  Cutting Edge’s Marketing Director. “However, we know how busy everyone is, so we thought we could provide a little last-minute stimulus.”

Members of the Australia’s advertising, production, design and marketing communities are invited to submit their best app idea.

The winning app will be produced by Cutting Edge’s Digital Team. The prize, valued at $20,000, includes design and development, right through to getting the app launched on Apple’s App Store.

And our very own Macworld Australia Editor-In-Chief, Dave Bullard, will be judging and assessing the app submissions on creativity, originality, commercial viability and adherence to budget.

Check out the video with the interviewees, which provides a little ‘deadline looming’ motivation.
