LogMeIn has introduced an updated version of its popular Ignition app for iOS.

LogMeIn Ignition, which costs $36.99 and is available to download from the App Store, lets you remotely view, transfer or save files on your Mac or PC via any iOS device.

New features in the updated app include the ability to move files from a Mac or PC to your iOS device so they can be viewed locally. You can open and edit files on your iOS device using apps such as Documents To Go, Quickoffice, Pages, Keynote and Numbers, the company said.

You can also view files and folders on one or more computers and transfer files between remote computers. It’ll also let you update locally saved files in Ignition with updates from remote computers.

“Just as the iPad changed mobile computing, LogMeIn Ignition has opened up new possibilities for how people can use their iOS devices for business purposes,” said Andrew Burton, LogMeIn’s vice president, Access & Management.

“The addition of file access to remote control makes Ignition a more powerful business app than any standalone remote access product,” Burton continued.

Though the app costs$36.99, it is a free update to owners of the original app.
