Six months after the release of Logic Pro X 10.1, Apple today launched Logic Pro X 10.2, which brings Alchemy, the sample manipulation synthesiser, to Logic Pro X users for free. Alchemy makes it easy to find and explore new sounds while also providing sophisticated tools for sound designers.
A 14GB content library offers thousands of new sounds including content for producers of Hip-Hop, EDM, and a variety of underground and indie styles.
Additional updates include:
- Multiple synthesis engines and advanced morphing features for creating a diverse range of sounds.
- Enhanced keyboard browser, allowing users to find sounds they are looking for quickly and easily using descriptive keywords.
- Performance controls that let users manipulate and craft new sounds without needing a full understanding of synthesis and sound design techniques.
MainStage and Logic Remote have also be updated to support Logic Pro X 10.2 and Alchemy.
For existing users, Logic Pro X 10.2 and MainStage 3.2 are available as free upgrades on the Mac App Store starting today; for new users, Logic Pro X 10.2 and MainStage 3.2 are now available for purchase on Mac App Store for $249.99 and $37.99 respectively. Logic Remote 1.2.2 is available as a free download on the App Store.
