Facebook has announced the roll out of digital iTunes gift cards as part of its new e-gifting platform, Gifts, on the social network, launching today.
“Starting today with Facebook Gifts, you can instantly gift your friends iTunes digital gifts and recommend albums, movies, games, apps, and more available on the iTunes Store,” Facebook said earlier today via its Newsroom page.
The new system, powered by Gift Card Mall, lets users purchase the digital cards in nominations of $10, $15, $25, or $50. While the Gifts service is not currently available to all members on the site, Facebook has advertised the service as “coming soon.”
