Ambrosia Software has released iToner 1.0.9, an update to its ringtone maker for the iPhone that supports iTunes 8. A free update for registered users, iToner costs $US15 for new customers.

iToner lets you drag and drop audio files to create custom ringtones for your iPhone. Unlike with iTunes, there’s no per-ringtone fee. iToner works with MP3, AAC, WAV and AIF audio files.

iToner has been updated to work with iTunes 8, released on Tuesday following Apple’s special event in San Francisco. You can now remove all ringtones by option-clicking the delete button. Fixes for minor bugs and ringtone verification have also been made.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later.
