An upcoming smartphone powered MacBook Air lookalike has been revealed.

The Clambook, which is set to launch at the end of the year, has significant similarities to the MacBook Air, which Apple has just won a broad design patent for.

Clamcase’s new device has an aluminium design with a black keyboard and black border surrounding the display, as well as a multi-touch trackpad. ITProPortal describes the laptop as a ‘MacBook Air clone for smartphones’.

The Clambook can be used with an iPhone or Android, and allows users to get laptop functionality from their smartphone. It can also charge your smartphone and you can turn your phone into a dedicated gaming controller.

We’re wondering what Apple will think of the familiar design of the Clambook after Apple’s MacBook Air patent win.
