There have been a few rumours floating around to suggest Canadian Apple fans would see an iPhone 4 release on 23 July, keeping well within Apple’s stated “by the end of July” release.
Australian Macworld has heard from a number of sources that 23 July is indeed also the day the iPhone 4 will launch in Australia. Presumably this rollout will include the other countries expecting a late July release: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Being a scant three weeks away, we may not have too long to wait until the iPhone 4, complete with amazing Retina display and possibly dodgy antenna. Let’s just hope Australian networks are considerably better than AT&T to ensure the potential antenna issue is nothing more than an occasional annoyance.
And for anyone unfamiliar with the other international launches, Apple sold 1.7 million iPhone 4s in a mere three days. You may want to start lining up now to make sure you’ll get one on launch day.
