Apple has announced that it has sold two million iPads, just 60 days since it was launched on 3 April. There is no information on what proportion of this is made up by international sales, which began in nine countries including Australia, Canada and the UK just last Friday, 28 May.
“Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of the iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do,” says Steve Jobs. Interestingly, he adds “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.” Clearly the company is still having difficulties keeping up with demand.
However, the iPad will still be rolled out across another nine countries in July, and even more countries later in the year.
