Just days after news that production is soon to begin on the next generation iPad, leaked images of purported iPad 2 cases are making their way to the internet.

And before you shout ‘fake’, it’s not just a few blurry images of one case that we’re talking about; there are a number of different cases that have been spotted. We present them in full below for your lusting needs. There’s even a video for a better view.

The cases (if real) suggest that the new iPad will have a flatter back and rear-facing camera. All cases also show a cut-out at the bottom next to the iPad’s dock connector that may accommodate an SD card slot according to Macrumors.com.

What do you think? Are these the real deal? Would Apple include an SD slot or USB port on the next iPad? Let us know in the comments below!

4 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Jamie says:

I think an SD card slot is far more likely than a USB port as Apple have far too much tied up in the dock connector. If we look at the latest generation iMacs they have SD card slots so it would not surprise me in the least to see iPad 2 have them.

  2. Nigel says:

SD Card slot seems likely. I remember rumours circulating a while ago about next gen iPad having dual dock connectors so it could be docked in landscape or portrait mode.

  3. Jas says:

So what happened to the rumored landscape dock?

  4. Brian F Harris says:

Camera on iPad would be good but for me, for the future I don’t buy anything unless it has a SD card slot. That includes computor, viewer, GPS, camera, iPad etc. It is the way to the future and manufactures have no real option but to embrace this technology. I will buy iPad as soon as it includes a SD card slot.
