Rumours of the iPad 2’s release being delayed until June have been nixed, with Reuters reporting that ‘a person familiar with the matter’ confirmed they weren’t true.
Well, that was a quick turnaround: the Reuters report was backed up by claims from a Barclay’s Capital analyst, Ben Reitzes, who claimed the iPad manufacturer, Foxconn, is preparing to ship two million of the new devices in early April.
Far from holding back until mid-year, Apple has scheduled a March 2 launch for the iPad 2, according to All Things Digital. That’s next week!
Apple is likely to unveil the second-gen iPad at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, although we haven’t received our invites as of yet… we’re off to check the mail…
