An iOS 7 concept released by designer F. Bianco offers a number of thought-provoking changes to Apple’s mobile OS, integrating widgets into the home screen, boosting usability of the lock screen and adding a mission control feature.

The concept gives iOS 6 an interface refresh and offers users a quick route to the iOS devices settings, fast replies to messages and access to an app’s features from within the home screen.

Many are expecting a significant overhaul of iOS in the next update, with Jony Ive taking control of both OS X and iOS design. It has been reported the British Apple Vice President isn’t a fan of skeuomorphic design – a concept that imitates artifacts and textures from real life.

In a separate report last week, it is believed iOS 7 is running behind schedule and Apple has drawn upon OS X designers to speed up completion.
