We’re hearing more reports of iOS 5.0 testing popping up, with a number of crash logs recording the existence of the next-generation iPhone, iPad and iPod touch operating system.

Intriguingly, it seems as though Apple is engineering support for devices at least two years old, with reports appearing from the iPhone 3Gs and the third-generation iPod touch.

9to5Mac is reporting that developers have tipped them off on a large range of devices currently undergoing testing by Apple, although it’s as yet unclear as to whether they’ll be supported in iOS 5’s final release.

Apple is expected to unveil the new version of iOS in beta form at the World Wide Developers Conference in June.
