NewerTech has released a custom handcrafted leather case for the iPad just days before its US introduction. Somewhat reminiscent of the Microsoft ‘Courier’ tablet concept, the case opens up to reveal your iPad on the right, and space for other notes and paper in pockets on the left.
The case is available from Other World Computing with an introductory price of US$99.99 (around $109) plus shipping, and features a lifetime warranty. It will begin shipping on 5 April – even though we Australians will be waiting a bit longer for the actual device.
After seeing the showcase videos from Apple this week, I’m convinced the iPad will be a useful business tool, and propel Apple forward in the business world. With the corporate sector clearly in mind, this case sports either a red or black leather exterior, a removable shoulder strap, and a heap of internal pockets for important documents.
