If you’re an iPhone-toting football fan going to South Africa for the World Cup this month, you should check out the new Sygic Aura Walk South Africa app before you go. From developer Sygic who’s behind a whole slew of GPS iPhone apps, the latest addition is designed specifically for those walking around the venues. It offers 3D views of stadiums as well as information about local tourist attractions.

Not only that, the app adds in social networking, allowing you to find your mates on a map (assuming they also have the app) and organise to meet them at the nearest pub. The app shows you entrance points for stadiums as well places with big-screen TVs for when you can’t make it to a match.

The app comes in at $14.99, which compared to other Sygic apps makes it a bargain. But better still, if Italy wins the World Cup, the company is offering your money back! Just register at sygic.com/football.

Sygic Aura Walk South Africa is available now from the App Store.
