Google has scrapped Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus smartphone from its Google Play store.

First spotted by Electronista, customers are no longer able to buy the handset from the store, which has currently replaced the purchase button with a  ‘coming soon.’note.  Below the new sign a form for users to sign up for email notification once the phone becomes available.

Despite pulling it from the Play Store, Google has confirmed that it would resume selling the Galaxy Nexus next week. The phone will ship with Android 4.1, or Jelly Bean.

The news comes after an eventful week of legal battles between Apple and Samsung, as both companies fight it out in court to settle a handful of pending patent infringement lawsuits. Currently, the US courts have placed an injunction of the Nexus smartphone being sold in the US.
