Foxtel has added eight new channels to its Foxtel Go app, with subscribers now able to watch 29 live-streaming channels and a number of catch-up episodes on their iPads with the launch of Foxtel Go on the App Store.
Available to residential subscribers, the free app offers use for two iPads per household and the ability for Foxtel iQ users to remotely record programmes from anywhere in Australia with an internet connection.
Foxtel’s Director of Television Brian Walsh, speaking in November, believes the app will add to the user experience of Foxtel customers.
“What we’re offering is a value-add for existing customers who can take their Foxtel with them. It’s all about mobilising the Foxtel product and ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological developments,” Walsh told TV Tonight.
“The picture quality is extraordinary and it’s something that will absolutely move the needle in the case of subscriptions.”
The new channels are:
Discovery Turbo Max.
The channels available at launch were:
The LifeStyle Channel,
National Geographic Channel,
FOX SPORTS PLUS,
Foxtel Go is expected to expand to other tablet platforms and further channels next year.
