FileMaker has announced availability of FileMaker Training Series for FileMaker 11, a book and DVD course to help master the essentials of the new software.
The self-paced program is designed for intermediate-to-advanced database users and developers to hone their skills and get the most from FileMaker 11’s new features.

There are 12 modules in the course, all with step-by-step instructions on FileMaker development topics including introductory topics such as working with fields and layouts, to more advanced topics such as calculation functions and scripts.

The training series costs $159 (inc GST) and comprises a 700 page manual and DVD containing demo files, exercises and videos. Members of the FileMaker Technical Network and FileMaker Business Alliance can purchase the series for half the retail price.

The training series also provides comprehensive training to prepare for the FileMaker Certification exam. Certification demonstrates that developers have the essential knowledge and expertise to build and deploy organisational solutions using FileMaker 11.

More information on the program can be found at the FileMaker website.
