Ahead of Apple’s 22 October media event, in which it is expected to officially launch the latest Mac operating system, OS X Mavericks, the company has published a message on its website, asking app developers to make sure they’re ready to take advantage of the system’s new features before its released to the public.

“Download OS X Mavericks GM seed and Xcode 5.0.1 GM seed, now available on the Mac Dev Center. Build your apps with these latest seeds, then test and submit them to the Mac App Store,” says the website.

As MacRumors has noted, at the beginning of the month Apple began training its AppleCare staff in all aspects of the operating system, ready for the launch.

Next week’s event is when Apple is also expected to reveal the fifth-generation iPad, the Retina Display iPad mini and possibly officially launch the Mac Pro too.
