A new Apple Store looks set to open in Melbourne’s North West, after a listing on posted the store site, in an unspecified location.

The jobs page – first spotted by Zheng li, who shared the discovery with MacTalk on Twitter – shows a list of Melbourne store locations where applicants can register their interest for available retail-based positions. Beneath the list of already-established outlets, including Melbourne’s Chadstone, Doncaster, Southland and new South East stores, Apple has added ‘North West Melbourne, VIC’ as an official location. See the store listing below:

Posted: It's unclear when the North West Melbourne store was added to the site, with 'N/A' appearing in the 'Date Posted' column.

Apple has not officially confirmed plans for the new store in the North West and where its exact location will be. Some punters are guessing Highpoint Shopping Centre as the most likely area.

The store location can be seen on the website, when searching for retail jobs. Macworld Australia contacted Apple for comment, but was told by the company that no announcements had been made.

What do you think – where in Melbourne’s North West will the new Apple Store be situated? Put forward your suggestion in the comments below.

4 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Fred says:

Highpoint is currently extending (again) so that would be the perfect opportunity to build an Apple store. Highpoint rivals the size of Chadstone so it would be the local place to build. If it’s not Highpoint it could be Tullamarine Airport. There’s already a Telstra shop there.
