Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen is set to release a budget TV range to match its Play brand launched in January, according to Danish website Recordere.

The leaked TV, the BeoPlay V1, is thought to be available in two screen sizes – 32in and 40in.

The BeoPlay V1 will be named the V1-32 and V1-40, and feature DLNA functionality, five HDMI ports, one USB and integrated 5.1-channel surround sound.

Bang & Olufsen traditionally produces a high-end audio and visual systems, but with the launch of the Play brand and the Beolit 12 portable sound system, it has been moving into a more affordable market.

Recordere is reporting the BeoPlay V1 will start at 2399 euros in Europe, and our guess is it will come to Australia with a hefty price tag.

But for B&O, it’ll be cheap.
