CompNow and JAMF software are presenting a series of free seminars in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane on Casper Suite – a framework for Mac OS X client management.

The Casper Suite makes it easier for system administrators to deploy, update, activate and report for Mac OS X. The new version, Casper Suite 8.0, has new features to help manage multi-device, multi-user environments. And with iPads and iPhones taking off like they have, it could be a good way to get up to speed.

The sessions are targeted at IT administrators in small to enterprise level business or educational institutions, and will cover the following topics:

  • Large scale imaging to Mac and mobile devices
  • Inventory management
  • Settings management
  • Product feployment/reporting (back-up, anti-virus, full disk encryption, virtualization and more)
  • Adobe Creative deployments (CS5)
  • Current state of MDM (iOS4)

If any of that sounds like your thing, the sessions run from 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm on the following days:

  • Melbourne: Monday 15 November
  • Sydney: Thursday 18 November
  • Perth: Monday 22 November
  • Brisbane: Thursday 25 November
