The March issue of Australian Macworld is out today, and just in time for those of you worried about security.

In a week when Sophos researchers say they’ve spotted a new Trojan horse program written for the Mac, called BlackHole RAT , we feature an in-depth article on the state of Mac security by Aussie expert Neal Wise, who says: “It’s likely that our time has come to become as targeted for attack as our Windows-using peers.”

Neal has also tested seven antivirus and anti-malware programs, making this a must-read for all Mac users.

In other features, we also examine five ways to control your Mac from afar, and look back on 10 years of OS X, the Mac’s revolutionary operating system. Has it really been a decade already?

This month’s Lab Test concerns the latest crop of cheaper-and-better laser printers, from office workhorses to those made to sit on your desk at home. And also reviewed are earphones from Altec Lansing and thinksound, the Canon EOS 60D dSLR, AOC’s super-slim Razor monitor and, in software, iPassword 3 and Avid Pro Tools 9.

We also review the iProp Universal Tablet Stand – and you have the chance to win one of five of these innovative products by turning to Page 74.

Plus, of course, there’s a great crop of secrets, tips and tricks, a look at the latest iOS and Mac apps, your favourite columnists and more.

Well, go on then … hit your local newsagents for the print edition or go to for the digital one. Even better, click on the AMW link at the top right of this page to subscribe at a discount.
