Another day, another rumour, however our tip-offs in the past have been pretty spot on.

We got a tip-off this morning, while we can’t reveal the source, this person has evidence from two independent sources related to the iPhone launch that strongly suggests that Australia is being moved to a tier-1 country.

If the source is correct, Australia will no longer need to wait a month like previous releases, and Australia will get the new iPhone in the first wave, like the US.

6 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Donovan says:

Well this would be awesome as I work for a business Telco and all my customers are not signing any new plans until the release of the iphone 5. That and last year for the I4 we had a 5 month waiting list for customers and were signing over 40 per day to get on the list. I hope this is true.

  2. Eoghan says:

Yeeehaaaaah! iOS 5 has been running so slow on my poor old 3Gs… Time for an upgrade!

  3. KEEEGZ says:

Yeahhhhhh bring it on……We are cashed up and ready to receive.

  4. Unabomber says:

Eoghan, U have IOS5 b4 every1 else on the planet & your still rockin the 3gs?

  5. Hellz says:

iOS 5 has been available as a developer preview since June.

  6. Grant says:

I’m guessing there’s not that many ‘second phone’ iPhone 4 devices for running a beta iOS on for months on end.
