Apple has announced an offer to gift every university student, faculty and staff member buying a Mac in 2012 with a $100 ‘Back to Uni Card’ to redeem at the Mac App Store.

The incentive is exclusive to ‘university students, parents purchasing for uni students and faculty and staff members who purchase a new Mac with Apple education pricing’ between January 17 and April 17 this year.

The $100 gift card can also be used at iTunes Store, the App Store and the iBookstore.

2 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Dennis says:

Thats pretty bloody weak. Free iPod touch and now they just give you some crappy downloads. Have Apple lost touch already?

  2. Hasz says:

Couldn’t agree more Dennis, last year I got an iPod touch for an MBP. Now only $100 to be spent on App store. Btw, you still can use Mail rebate for an HP printer worth $130 every buying a Mac….
