Apple Watch OS gets first update

And so it begins. Apple has released its first Software Update for the Apple Watch. Version 1.0.1 is a minor update that includes a number of minor updates.

Apple says the update delivers performance improvements to Siri, and updates to the Health functions including better measurement of ‘stand activity’, calorie counting for indoor cycling and rowing workouts, distance and pace measurement for outdoor walk and run workouts, as well as improvements for accessibility and third party apps.

Language support has also been added for seven new langauges including Portuguese, Dutch and Thai.

To install the update, you need to launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Go to General and then tap on Software Update.

For the update to be installed, your Apple Watch needs to be within range of the iPhone, have at least 50 percent charge and be connected to a power supply.
